For this definitive collection of his work, Leonard has retrieved scores of previously unseen photographs, published here for the first time, alongside his most famous and widely recognized images.

KATRINA SURVIVORS

In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina destroyed Herman Leonard's home and studio. The storm claimed some 8,000 photographs that had been hand printed by Herman. Among the destroyed prints were a few framed prints that were badly damaged. The results of which are these hauntingly beautiful images with the subject's faces framed by the effects of the water. Prints are available in 11X14, 16X20. These photographs are Archival Pigment prints and are signed, titled and numbered (if applicable) on the front underneath the image by Herman Leonard.
